 talk time. What is the weather today?  In different weather  we need different clothes.

Show different items - wooly hat, wellies, gloves, umbrella, sun hat, sandals, scarf etc. Talk about the sort of weather we would wear these things. Pray and thank God for rain and sun and snow etc.

Today we are going to hear about some really unusual weather. Read the story of Noah from the big picture book.  Take time for the children to look at the animals.  Ask  if anyone has seen a rainbow. Every time we see a rainbow in the sky we remember that God saved Noah and his family and all the animals and promised He would never flood the earth again.  We are going to make a rainbow now.

Make paper plate rainbow

Make rainbow bracelets by threading coloured straws onto pipecleaner then twisting it round the child's wrist

play the 2by2 matching pairs game.  Play with Noah's Arks (there are 2 or 3)

Snack  (if you are feeling particularly keen  😊)   Fruit cheerios and marshmallows  - prepare beforehand (pipecleaner middle)

Who likes getting their hair cut?   Maybe some of the girls have never had their hair cut but most of the boys will have.  Can you tell me what happens at the hairdressers?   What would happen if you never got your hair cut at all?  How long do you think it would grow?  Talk time: Who here has brothers? Who has sisters? Who has no brothers or sisters? Do you like your siblings? Whats the best things about them? Any downsides? If we dont have brothers and sisters we can have friends instead.  God says He will always give us people who love us and look out for us. Lets say thank you to God for our brothers and sisters and our friends. (write down the names of all siblings so we can name them all - I think nearly all our kids have at least one) Lesson: Today we are going to learn about someone in the Bible who had LOTS of brothers. 1 Adam and Eve

 Talk time.   Are we ever naughty? Do we sometimes say NO to Mummy or Daddy? Do we ever say something that isnt true? Listen to the kids and explain that we need to say sorry when we do wrong things.  We can say sorry to our families and  also sorry to God because He wants us to be good and it makes Him sad when we are naughty. Pray and say sorry for the mean and bad things we've done Lesson.  Read the story of creation in God Made A World  Its a 'lift-the-flap' book so get the kids to take it in turns to lift flaps (if that doesnt descend into chaos!)
